Our mission, as a school, is to enhance the knowledge of a student; expanding the capacity of the human brain to explore the beauties of the world. We introduce you a “World without Walls” as our brains are capable of carrying wisdom without boundaries. It’s endless. We at The Winchester School are opening a window of opportunities to visit Paris and Rome to traverse the wonders our Earth. It’s a great chance as it helps students construct their tower of intelligence and perception of the world. For 5-6 days, starting on the 30th of March 2016 and ending on the 4th of April 2016, students can benefit educationally about Paris. For instance, get an introduction to World Art in renowned art museums and understanding the excellence of the Architectural Era. To make this trip more suitable for students, we’ve booked tours around Paris, breathing in the freshness of the city; along with a baking experience of traditional croissants and viewing many more attractions that are in stored. However, the excitement does not end there. We will be also gaining information about Rome. Paying a visit at the Vatican Museum and a full day Tour to Naples-Pompeii. This will be, guaranteed, one of the most exciting trips organized for students who will be attending. Our aim is to let student cherish the moment, view the world in a different perspective, and most importantly, value the knowledge that will come concomitantly and share the experiences with others and appreciating the nature and built-in attractions. OVERSEAS TRIP TO LONDON - 2015 Yet another overseas trip was planned for the Winchester students. This time it was to London. The majority of the students were from year 7 and that made it very exciting for them as it was the first time they were travelling on their own and away from parents. Students were grouped and given responsibilities for the different places that was on the itinerary. They were asked to carry a log book in which they had to take down notes as part of their learning. On their return they prepared a PPT and conducted assemblies for the other students sharing their wonderful experience and also talking to them about the challenges they faced on the trip. 22 students accompanied by 2 teachers had set off on this exciting trip on 30th March. What is a trip to watch a Shakespearean play without the original story of forbidden love by Romeo and Juliet. Years 6, 7 & 8 grasped the opportunity to watch the feature film: Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Fin at the Novo cinema, Ibn Battuta Mall. Watching this film reflects on their Aim High Summer Programme to retaining first hand experience on how they can use their attained information from their movie to their write-ups! |
